I believe this is the best phrase to express the term lockdown. It entered our life unexpectedly and changed them in multiple ways. In this blog, I’ll be sharing my experience on lockdown days in a brief way.
HOW IT STARTED
In fact, I didn’t even know what the term lockdown or quarantine meant until the Government announced it. I still remember how it started, it was the day after my birthday I was at peace after completing my 10th board exams but also worried about the results. And that is when they declared Lockdown. I was quite confused at the beginning but then got a firm grasp. They ordered a nationwide lockdown for 21 days!! And that’s when we took Covid-19 seriously. The lockdown was not just for 21 days, It lasted till the end of May.
HOW WAS IT FOR ME
Personally, I enjoyed these days because I got to spend a lot of time with family. Despite all the problems, we had each other. Thanks to the internet which helped me to stay in touch with all my friends and relatives. Staying at home for months is surely isn’t an easy task unless you’re an introvert. Being a person who loves to value alone time, the lockdown didn’t affect me much.
HOW IT REALLY WAS
But I can’t get over the fact that 2020 is almost three years ago, it just felt like yesterday. It was also depressing to watch the news of how people were suffering, and losing their loved ones. Even though I enjoyed the lockdown days, I wanted all this to end.
HOW I SPENT
At the beginning of the lockdown, I did nothing but procrastinate. But then I started to do the things that gave me mental peace such as painting, gardening, and talking to my friends through phone calls. Also, my sister and I made some disasters in the kitchen a couple of times which gave my mom stress. All these memories are sure to be cherished.
But however, we should be proud of ourselves that we got through all the challenges we never expected.
