Before,During and After

Even though it’s just 2 years of lockdown multiple things changed in our life. The analysis of before, during, and after lockdown would be the comparison to understand the changes.

School days are precious days in our life. But our batch was unfortunate to spend those precious last years of school life.
How school life was before the pandemic?
one word answer is peaceful. Normal school days were like waking up early in the morning, getting ready, and running after the van after having an unfinished breakfast. Traveling to school watching different dramas and chaos happening on the streets. Entering into school and standing under the bright sunlight to sing prayer songs. That panic moment when the staff suddenly announce a surprise test. That happy moment when we had free and PET hours. Chatting with friends while the teacher is teaching. And one of the best memories is sharing lunch with your classmates. Participating in multiple events just to skip classes.

And the most relaxing sound in the class was the sound of the bell ringing. And then school ends. Coming back home and playing outside with friends.
The school during lockdown days in other words online classes.
I love and also hate this for some reason. The routine students had during the online classes was the total opposite of the normal school days. waking up just 5 minutes before the classes starts, setting up the desk within 2 minutes, and punctually logging into the class is a superpower. Not getting ready, no need to run after the van. Mom feeding you while you’re busy taking notes. Not getting a chance to go out and witness the dramas while traveling. Not getting enough vitamin D. Even when the teacher announces a surprise test we never panic because we know the tricks. Having no free or PET hours made us even lazier. but one thing has never changed chatting with friends during class hours freely. Had no chance of tasing your friend’s lunch. Playing online games with friends for hours gave us relief.

The after-lockdown school days were quite the opposite of what expected. It was filled with stress and burden. Yes, I expected the final days would be the best. But when we returned to school. The only thing we had to focus was on studies since we had a really short period for the board. The lockdown days made us lazy and procrastinate our studies. It was honestly really hard to wake up early in the morning. Watching people on the streets wearing masks. And chatting with friends becomes easier while wearing masks. It was sad to not be able to share lunch with friends due to some restrictions. We had no events and PETs were taken over by maths and physics staff.
We, students, lost our smiles and we all looked like pandas because of not having proper sleep and food. Our life became boring and hard. But at the end of the day, we had each other for support. The teachers did an amazing job in molding us.

Spending time with your family is the most important and precious thing. For this thing, I would thank the lockdown.
before the lockdown, everyone in the family had their busy schedules due to which our spending time together became hard. But during the lockdown days, everything changed. The amount of time I spent with my family gave me mental peace. We watched episodes of fear files every night together and some other famous series from the old days and joked around. Playing cards and riddles. Going to the terrace every night and watching the beauty of the night made me a xenophile. These are the moments I would cherish forever. we learned the importance of having more family time.
Even after the lockdown days, we implied few things we did during lockdown days. Yes, we couldn’t watch series every night but we still had movie time every weekend. We made it a habit to go to the terrace every night.

The existence of different situations before, during, and after the implementation of the lockdown has changed the self-determination factors. The pandemic has changed all aspects of our life including physical and mental activity behavior. If we are more active in physical activity, we will get physical benefits which we lacked on lockdown days. But after the lockdown, we learned some lessons to take care of our health.
